概要 Description

This course focuses on drafting and refining manuscripts for journal submission. By conducting a critical and objective evaluation of existing theories, students will learn to clarify their research positioning and develop compelling theoretical arguments. By integrating the insights gained during the submission process back into the thesis development, this course aims to produce a high-quality Master’s thesis characterized by academic rigor and persuasive empirical evidence.
目的 Objectives

The objective of this course is to elevate the logical consistency and objectivity of the Master’s thesis to a professional academic standard through the process of submitting research findings to an academic journal. Students will focus on mastering the alignment between research questions (RQs), research objectives, and theoretical contributions, while simultaneously enhancing the robustness of their empirical analysis to meet the rigorous requirements of the peer-review process.
Outcomes

1. Students are able to design research designs based on logical thinking

Session 1: Guidance and Progress Report Meeting
Sessions 2–14: Progress Report Meetings
Note: Sessions 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13 will be held online.
Session 15: Inter-seminar (In-zemi) or External Presentation

  • In each research progress meeting, students will present their individual research progress to the instructor based on a written progress report, while all participants attend and engage.
  • The content and pace of each presentation will vary depending on the student’s objectives (e.g., conference presentations, journal submissions, or preparation for graduate study), and guidance will therefore be provided on an individual basis.
  • In-seminar events organized by the laboratory will be held as appropriate; students are expected to participate.
  • The content and sequence of sessions may be adjusted in consideration of educational effectiveness.
  • Joint presentation sessions with laboratories from other universities may be held outside regular class hours; attendance is required in such cases.
  • In addition, joint seminars with third- and fourth-year students, as well as presentations at international and domestic academic conferences, will be held on an ongoing basis, and students are expected to participate.

The schedule may be adjusted depending on progress.

Students are required to attend more than half of the total class sessions in person.
