概要 Description
This course provides a systematic study of major models used in the analysis of financial time series data as fundamental methodologies in financial econometrics. Topics include univariate time series analysis using ARMA models, multivariate dynamic analysis using VAR models, volatility modeling with GARCH and MGARCH models, and dependence structure analysis using copulas. Through these approaches, the course aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of return dynamics and risk characteristics in financial markets, while building a solid foundation for empirical research in financial econometrics.
The objective of this course is to develop both theoretical understanding and empirical application skills in major financial time series models used in financial econometrics. Students will systematically acquire statistical methods necessary for analyzing financial data and build a research foundation for quantitatively examining return dynamics, volatility behavior, and dependence structures among assets. Furthermore, with a focus on empirical research applications, the course aims to enhance students’ ability to independently select, estimate, and interpret appropriate models.
