概要 Description

Exercises will be conducted on fabrication methods and device applications of functional thin film materials such as semiconductors, superconductors, ferroelectrics, etc. related to the research theme, focusing on scientific history and social background as well as advanced technologies.
目的 Objectives

The curriculum and diploma policy of the Department of Materials Science and Technology state, "The Department aims to create new materials and new engineering that contribute to the development of industry through the fusion and development of basic science based on free thinking beyond the framework of existing engineering." The objective of the program is to produce creative human resources who have mastered basic science and acquired advanced expertise in materials science and engineering, and to develop human resources who can contribute to society with a correct sense of ethics and a rich sense of humanity. The purpose of this course is to acquire the ability to think in order to expand the basic knowledge into advanced applications by subscribing to the literature on process technology and property characterization methods for functional thin film materials.
Outcomes

Through the lectures, students will acquire basic and advanced knowledge of physics and chemistry necessary for understanding various crystal growth methods and characterization methods of nitride thin film materials, and acquire problem finding and problem solving skills essential in the process.
