概要　Description

日常的な会話等のビデオや音声を視聴し、ディクテーションなどの練習問題を行う。

目的　Objectives

日常的な場面や身近なテーマで用いられる英語の語彙や表現を拡充し、英語のコミュニケーション能力、特にリスニング・スピーキングの能力の向上を図る。
本授業は、本学の定める教養教育の目標における、国際性およびコミュニケーション能力を養うための科目である。

簡単な内容の会話を聞き取り、理解できる。平易な語彙を用いて、身近な内容に関して情報のやり取りができる。

履修上の注意　Course notes prerequisites

テキストは下記の①と②を使用する予定である。
①We Love L.A.! / ②Step-up Listening
1回の授業で、各テキストの1ユニットを確認する。テキスト②は後半のUnit 11からUnit 20を扱う。
　授業開始時刻から20分以上遅刻した場合は、欠席扱いとする。交通機関の遅延証の有無は考慮しないので、注意をすること。遅刻2回で、欠席1回とみなす。4回以上欠席をした場合は、単位を認めない。公欠・忌引き・出校停止等で欠席した場合は、証明する書類の提出が必要である。

準備学習・復習　Preparation and review

授業中は、音声やDVDを視聴し、テキストの問題に取り組んでもらうが、各テキスト４ユニット毎に、聞き取りを含めた小テストを行うので、小テストに向けて、使われている単語・表現を復習し、また音声・DVDを各自視聴し直して、聞き取れるようにしておくこと。テキスト②に関しては、リンガポルタ（出版社が提供している学習サイト）からも出題するので、こちらでも学習しておくことが必要である。（各テキスト１ユニットにつき２時間程度）

成績評価方法　Performance grading policy

TOEIC 30%
小テスト 45%（各テキスト5ユニット毎に、聞き取り、およびリンガポルタの単語や並べ替えに関し小テストを行う）
授業への積極的な参加 25%（リンガポルタでの学習など）
４回以上欠席した場合は、単位を認めない。
[フィードバックの方法]
小テストは、採点のうえ、翌週以降に返却する。
