概要 Description

The purpose of this course is to understand the composition, structure, physical properties, and functional expression of metals and ceramics, which are mainly used as substitute materials for bones and teeth.
This subject corresponds to acquiring specialized knowledge in basic science and nanomedicine as outlined in the curriculum policy. Furthermore, it is a subject that aims to cultivate broad fundamental academic abilities that transcend specific specializations as outlined in the diploma policy, while also fostering the development of specialized knowledge that builds upon these foundational abilities.

目的 Objectives

Inorganic materials such as glass and ceramics, including metals, will be lectured on topics ranging in their structure, property, production, and application (especially, dental materials applications).

Outcomes

The goal of this course is to apply the physics and chemistry learned as a basic course, to fully understand the basic "Why", and to be able to imagine "How" it is used.
