概要 Description
Biochemistry and medicine are closely related. Health is a state in which biochemical reactions in the body remain in balance, whereas disease arises from abnormalities in biomolecules, biochemical reactions, and biochemical mechanisms. This lecture aims to provide an understanding of the causes of various diseases from a biochemical perspective. Additionally, this course aligns with the department's diploma policy: "Creation of science and technology for nature, human beings, and society, and their harmonious development."
To understand the structure and properties of biomolecules (proteins, nucleic acids, sugars, and lipids) that support various biological phenomena, and to broadly explore and discuss how these molecules function in living systems. Through this process, the course aims to cultivate creative and flexible thinking in life system engineering, fostering individuals with a rich imagination and a global perspective.
To acquire fundamental knowledge of biochemistry and understand biomolecules that support biological phenomena and their reaction mechanisms. Additionally, to gain a deeper understanding of the applications of these biomolecules in life system engineering.
