概要 Description
The course is designed for beginning students to learn the basics of programming using Python. 目的 Objectives
Through programming, students will acquire a sense of logical thinking, which is essential for science and engineering, and the ability to grasp the purpose, think about the overall flow of processing to solve a problem, and replace each operation with the one necessary to solve the problem. Based on Sections 1, 2, and 5 of the Curriculum Policy, this is an elective course designed to deepen specialized knowledge and cultivate the ability to identify and solve problems from an interdisciplinary perspective. This course contributes to the realization of the Diploma Policy.
The goal of the course is to develop logical thinking in programming and to enable students to create simple programs through practical training using computers that serve as BYOD machines.

You can check this from “Correspondence table between grading items and subjects” by following the link(for departments). https://www.tus.ac.jp/fd/ict_tusrubric/ 履修上の注意 Course notes prerequisites
Since the exercises will be conducted on students' personal computers (BYOD), students are required to have a computer that meets the requirements listed in the "Enrollment Guide" by the start of class (a keyboard is required for programming; due to the nature of the programming class, students are not allowed to use only a smartphone or tablet). Due to the nature of the programming class, students are not allowed to take the class using only a smartphone or tablet.) ) and be able to log in to CLASS and LETUS by the beginning of the class. A laptop computer will be used for each session, so be sure to keep it fully charged. Please note that computers will not be loaned out. You should also be able to use the university's email account (学籍番号@ed.tus.ac.jp) so that you can exchange questions and other correspondence. Teaching type(Active Learning)

Preparation and review
Since the class is accompanied by exercises, it is desirable that the students prepare for the lecture in advance by reading the lecture slides available on LETUS. In addition, students should thoroughly review the contents of each class session. Performance grading policy
Assuming that students have taken the classes, comprehensive evaluation will be made based on the results of exercises, assignments, etc. Evaluation of academic achievement
