概要 Description

This lecture will be a combination of classroom lectures and experiments in order to understand materials science. This lecture will focus on four areas of materials science and technology: "material design", "functional design", "environment/energy", and "aerospace". We hope that you will be able to understand materials science and technology by understanding everything from the basics to applications in each area and deepening your understanding through experimental themes. By holding group discussions with students from other academic fields, we hope to gain new insights that go beyond academic fields.
目的 Objectives

In materials science and technology fields, it is important to consider with science and engineering based on physics, chemistry, and mechanics, and to develop research and education related to materials engineering across the board. Materials science and technology is based on the four areas of "new material design," "new function design," "environment/energy," and "aerospace/space," which are based on interdisciplinary fields consisting of physics, chemistry, mechanics, and electronics. The purpose of this lecture is to learn the basics, conduct experiments, and deepen understanding through group discussions.
Outcomes

Students will be able to understand the basics of materials engineering in the four areas of "material design", "functional design", "environment/energy", and "aerospace"
Through experiments, students will be able to understand material design and applications in each area.
Through group discussions, students will be able to deepen their understanding of materials engineering and make new discoveries.
