博士論文を執筆する上で最も基本的な３つの要素，論文の“書き方・読み方・探し方”について学ぶ。また，演習を通じて，学術的な文章・論文がどのようなものかを理解し，一定の論理的手続きに基づいて博士論文を組み立てられるようになることを目指す。

To learn the most fandamental three elements on writing research papers: how to write, how to read, and how to search. In addition, to become able to comprehend academic sentences and papers through those exercises, and to aim to become able to compose a doctoral thesis based on a certain logical procedure

この講義ならびに演習を通じて，学術的な文章・論文がどのようなものかを理解し，一定の論理的手続きに基づいて博士論文を組み立てられるようになることを目的とする。本専攻のディプロマ・ポリシーに定める極めて高度な専門知識および研究能力を身につける科目です。

At the end of this course, students are able to
- comprehend academic sentences and papers through lectures and exercises
- compose a doctoral thesis based on a certain logical procedure
This course is designed to provide students with extremely high level of specialized knowledge and research ability as stipulated in the diploma policy of the Department.

前半は，講義形式で論文執筆の基本的な３要素，論文の“書き方・読み方・探し方”について学ぶことで，学術的な文章・論文がどのようなものかを理解し，一定の論理的手続きに基づいて博士論文を組み立てられるようになることを目標とする。後半では，自身の研究テーマに関する論文を選定することから始め，さらに輪講することにより，研究に関する知識•知見を深めるとともに，課題設定•解決能力ならびに発表能力を涵養する。また，英語文献に触れることで，情報収集•発信およびコミュニケーション能力を高めることを目標とする。

In the first half of the semester, to be lectured for learning the most fandamental three elements on writing research papers: how to write, how to read, and how to search. Then, to become able to comprehend academic sentences and papers, and to aim to become able to compose a doctoral thesis based on a certain logical procedure.
In the second half of the semester, to be started with selecting a research paper in regard to your own research theme. By conducting students' lectures/presentations in turn, to deepen knowledge of the study as well as to cultivate problem setting and abilities of solution and presentation. Moreover, to increase abilities of gathering information, transmission, and communication by touching English literature/references.

各回の講義で得られた知識・技術を実践することで理解を深め，また課題を通じて文献等を調べることで予習を行うこと。

To be practiced knowledge and technics that you learn in each lecture in order to deepen the comprehension, and to be prepared by searching literature and more through tasks.

授業中の課題に加え，プレゼンテーションの出来映え，及び議論への参加の積極性を加味して評価する。

To be evaluated in taking account of the presentation’s performance level and positiveness of participation in discussion in addition to class assignments/problem.

In principle, students are required to attend all classes in person. However, attendance via Zoom in case of unavoidable circumstances is permitted but should be kept to a minimum.
