概要 Description

We will study the seismic performance evaluation methods for existing reinforced concrete buildings with large atriums that have been damaged by fire. In the structural design exercises, we will assess the material properties of fire‑damaged structural members, organize the fundamental approach to evaluating the seismic performance of special buildings with large atriums, and evaluate the strength and deformation capacity of structural members based on the RC Seismic Evaluation Guidelines. We will also evaluate the seismic performance of the building as a whole. In addition, we will verify the building’s seismic performance through pushover analysis conducted on the entire structure.
目的 Objectives

By using an actual fire‑damaged building as the subject of the seismic performance evaluation, we will learn the practical, real‑world procedures involved in assessing the seismic performance of existing structures.
Outcomes

The objective is to develop the minimum necessary competencies for performing seismic performance evaluation work on buildings and to master the procedures for addressing specialized challenges when they occur.
