近代建築において新たに使われ始めた言葉がどの分野に起源をもちどのような意味合いで使われ始めたかをしることで逆
に近代建築の特質を学ぶ講義である。教科書としてエイドリアン・フォーティー『言葉と建築』鹿島出版会を使用する。
This is the class where studens could learn the essence of the architectural modernism. In order to learn it, students
should learn the words which began to be used in the modernism era, especially the meanings and origins of those
words. As the textbook we use Words and Buildings by Adrian Forty Kajima Institute publishing

この講義を通して西欧近代建築の特質を１５のキーワードを通して深く理解し自らのデザインの立脚点を明快にできるよ
うになることを目的とする。
The purpose of this class is to clarify your position of your architectural design by understanding the essence of the
architectural modernism through the 15 significant words.

上記目的を十分に理解、獲得した上で新たな自分のデザイン観を導出できるようになることを最終目標とする。
You should be able to reach your design policy thorough the study above.

授業に出てディスカッションすることが重要
It must be necessary to take part in the discussion and write reports in every class.

毎回授業の最初に小テストを行い前週までの授業内容に対する理解を確かめる

一章ずつ進めるので毎週教科書を読んでくると必須
