都市や建築の見かた・調べ方について、フィールドワークや実測を通して学ぶ。講義を通して、対象から何を読み取り、どのように記述するのかを理解したうえで、実際にフィールドワークおよび実測を行い、作図・記述の表現方法を習得する。各回の成果物およびレポートは、オンラインホワイトボード等を用いて受講者同士が相互に閲覧できるようにし、相互理解を深める。

実測演習は、自由学園明日館（重要文化財、F・L・ライト設計、東京都豊島区西池袋2-31-3）において、8月中旬から下旬にかけて2日間実施する予定である。まちあるき演習は、8月上旬に都内近傍にて、半日間の実施を予定している。

This course explores methods for observing and investigating cities and architecture through fieldwork and architectural measurement. Through lectures, students will learn how to read architectural and urban environments and how to document them appropriately. Based on this understanding, students will conduct actual fieldwork and on-site measurements, and acquire skills in drawing and written documentation. Course outputs and reports will be shared among students using online whiteboards or similar tools in order to promote mutual learning and understanding.

The architectural measurement exercise is scheduled to be conducted over two days from mid to late August at Jiyu Gakuen Myonichikan (Important Cultural Property, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, 2-31-3 Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo). The urban walking survey is scheduled to take place in early August as a half-day exercise in the Tokyo metropolitan area or its vicinity.

To acquire methods of investigating and representing urban and architectural environments through the production of measured drawings and field notes.

本授業は、7月および8月に集中講義形式で実施する。詳細については、4月に開催予定のガイダンスにて説明する。ガイダンスの日程は、他の授業時間に重ならないよう配慮するため、掲示情報を必ず確認すること。

実測演習は、本授業の中核をなす内容であり、原則として全回出席を求める。やむを得ない事情により欠席する場合は、事前に担当教員へ相談すること。

実測演習時には、実測用具（コンベックス、画板、文房具等）を各自持参すること。

This course will be offered in an intensive format during July and August. Further details will be provided at an orientation session scheduled to be held in April. As the orientation will be arranged so as not to conflict with other class hours, students are required to check the posted announcements for the schedule.

The architectural measurement exercises constitute a core component of this course, and students are expected to attend all sessions in principle. In cases where absence is unavoidable, students must consult the instructor in advance.

Students are required to bring their own measurement tools for the exercises, such as a measuring tape, drawing board, and basic stationery.
