概要　Description

本授業ではLongman Academic Writing Series 3を用いて、フォーマットや構成、よく使われる表現など、アカデミック・ライティングの基礎を学ぶ。教科書には文法・語法に関するエクササイズも豊富に掲載されているので、間違いやすい項目に取り組んで基礎的な英作文力を磨く。また、隔週で映画を英語字幕付きで観て、内容を要約したり、関連するトピックについて自分の意見を英文にまとめたりする。学期末試験では、制限時間内にComparison/Contrast Paragraphを書く。

目的　Objectives

本学教養教育の定める目標のうち、特に次の能力を養う事を目的とする。
1. 専門分野の枠を超えて広い視野で多元的・複眼的に自然・人間・社会を俯瞰できる能力
2. 多様な文化・言語を理解し協働するための国際性を身に付けるとともに、グローバル化した社会の中で、多様な価値観を持つ人材とコミュニケーションを取れる能力
3. 課題を自ら発見し、主体的に考え、解決に取り組むための論理的・批判的思考力

履修上の注意　Course notes prerequisites

・2/3以上の出席を必須とする。
・履修生は英作文に各自取り組むだけでなく、積極的にディスカッションに参加する事が求められる。
・生成AIや英文添削ソフトの使用ルールについては、授業中に説明する。
