概要 Description

Conduct cutting-edge research on topics related to photophysics.
The goal is to publish at least two papers in English journals in the relevant field during the doctoral program. You should always challenge new research topics and try to produce research results that will contribute to the academic community. You should also acquire the ability to formulate their careers and provide research guidance.
· It is a subject to acquire the "expertise" ; specified in the Diploma Policies of this Department.
· It is a subject to acquire the ability to "actively solve various problems in the specialized field"; specified in the Diploma Policies of this Department
目的 Objectives

Set up your own research themes, devise your own methods to solve research subjects, and acquire the ability to proactively conduct research.
Outcomes

Outcomes

· Not only can you obtain the results you can present at a conference, you can publish your outcomes in English papers.
· To acquire the ability to solve difficult problems through your own means.
· To acquire the ability to find your own research theme by yourself.
· You will aim to make at least one presentation in English at an international conference and to publish at least two English papers as the first author in an international peer-reviewed scientific journal before graduation.

Course notes prerequisites

You will be required to obtain world-first research results and all the abilities (listed below) to become a professional researcher (whether going into the private sector or academia). Hopefully you will immerse yourself in research to the extent that you can say that research is always on your mind.

To set their own research theme
To develop and implement the best research plan for their research purpose
To formulate a hypothesis to explain the results of the experiment
To analyze and test the hypothesis appropriately using physics
To present the results in an understandable manner
To publish the results as research papers in academic journals in English as well as Japanese.

In addition, in order to be able to play an active role in a wide range of fields after graduation, you should have a broad range of interests and education that is not limited to their own specialized fields, and must acquire the ability to discover and solve problems no matter what field they enter.

You should be more prepared to engage in research on your own volition, compared to the master course research. As you are of a working age, having graduated from university, you are expected to be aware that you are not a student, but a research professional.

Doctor’s students are required to have the ability to find and explore research themes themselves. Participate in weekly meetings, help other members of the laboratory to understand your research, taken an interest in the research of other members, actively participate in research meetings held in the Tokyo area to broaden the horizons of your research interest and to keep aware of what is going on now in the research field.

Preparation and review

To ensure the success of your research, a continuous effort is important. You are expected to devote yourself to research so that your research subject is always in your mind.
