数学書や論文を読み進め、定期的に発表を行う。その中で、内容に関する議論を行い、研究問題・研究目標・研究方法を定め、問
題解決に取り組む。

Students read and progress math books and paper and make presentations on a regular basis. Among them, they discuss the content and decide the research goals to solve the problem.

本研究科のディプロマ・ポリシーに定める『高度な専門的学識と研究能力』を鍛え上げ、『数学の専門分野の諸問題を能動的に解
決できる』ようになるために行う。即ち、単に数学的知識及び素養を身に付けるためだけでなく、自ら最先端の研究に興味を持
ち、果敢かつ着実に取り組めるようになることを目標とする。

We will train "highly specialized academic knowledge and research capability" defined in our diploma policy and do so in order to "actively solve matters in specialized areas of mathematics". In other words, we aim not only to acquire mathematical knowledge and education, but also to become interested in cutting-edge research themselves, to be able to work boldly and steadily.

表内容を十分に精査しておくこと。教員から指摘を受けた箇所は完全に理解できるまで復習し、かつその関連分野の数学にも積極
的に取り組んで数学的素養を最大限深めること。

本格的な研究に取り組むための準備として、以下のような内容・キーワードの理解を目標として、各自それぞれ必要となる数学的 基礎知識の吸収・補強に努める。その後、各自の習熟状況に応じて、より高度な内容の数学書や論文などの読解にも取り組む。ま た、進展状況に応じて、独自の問題設定を行い、その解決に向けて全力を傾注する。

As preparation for working on full-scale research, it is necessary to strive to absorb and reinforce the mathematical basic knowledge that is necessary for each of them, with the goal of understanding the following contents and keywords. After that, according to each proficiency situation, it is required to tackle reading of mathematical books and articles of higher contents more. In addition, depending on the progress situation, it is required to set original problem setting and devote full effort towards solution.
