本科目設置の狙い及び専攻の目的との連関性を踏まえ、標準化を戦略的に活用するための専門的知識・実務等について学ぶとともに課題解決に向けた実践力を身につける。

イノベーションの過程で、その普及には、様々な標準が必要である。オープン、クローズ戦略や、モジュラー摺合せとの関係、ＷＩＮＴＥＬに代表されるデファクトスタンダード戦略から、量産化での標準、さらには測定の基準や、ISOやJISなど政府の標準化政策、プラットフォーマ戦略との関係、国際比較についても触れる。

Based on the aim of establishing this course and its linkage with the objectives of the major, students will learn about the specialized knowledge, practices, etc. to strategically utilize standardization and acquire practical skills to solve problems.

In the process of innovation, various standards are necessary for its diffusion. The course will also touch on open and closed strategies, the relationship with modularization, de facto standard strategies represented by WINTEL, standards in mass production, standards for measurement, government standardization policies such as ISO and JIS, the relationship with platform strategies, and international comparisons.

• なお、ゲストスピーカーの資料は事前にアップすることができない場合がある。その際は、その方の経歴・実績や過去の論文、本などを予習の上、授業に臨むこと。
• 準備学習：事前配布資料等に基づく次回授業参加の準備、復習（毎週8時間程度）。なお、毎週回で終了前後に提示される課題の提出を適宜課すことで、授業の予習・復習に代わる学習と位置づける。

• If there are materials for each weekly session, they will be distributed approximately one week in advance. Prepare for wide-ranging discussions based on the distributed materials. 
• There may be cases where materials from guest speakers cannot be uploaded in advance. In such instances, prepare for the session by studying the speaker's background, achievements, past papers, or books.
• Preparatory learning: Prepare for and review next session's participation based on materials distributed in advance (approximately 8 hours per week). Additionally, submitting assignments presented before or after each weekly session as appropriate will be considered as part of the learning process, replacing the need for pre-session and post-session review.

日本産業標準化法（JIS法）、日本産業標準調査会（JISC）、海外の標準化機関の概要等について学ぶとともに、標準化をビジネスで用いるための戦略について学ぶ。あわせて、グループワークを行う。

ISO/IEC/ITUの仕組や適合性評価、規制と標準化、安全と標準化の関係等について学ぶとともに、標準化をビジネスに活用するためのセオリーについて学ぶ。あわせて、グループワークを行う。

Provide an introduction to the course and review foundational knowledge such as the basics of standardization and its historical background.
Session 2 (6/20) Group Work (Assignment 1), Overview ②
Learn about the Japanese Industrial Standards Act (JIS Act), the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee (JISC), and an overview of international standardization bodies. Explore strategies for utilizing standardization in business. Conduct group work.
Session 3 (6/27) Overview ③, Group Work (Assignment 2)
Learn about the ISO/IEC/ITU framework, conformity assessment, regulation and standardization, the relationship between safety and standardization, and theories for applying standardization in business. Group work will also be conducted.

Learn about the relationship between patents and standardization, including open/close strategies. Group work will also be conducted.
