This course guides students through the entire process of writing a master's thesis - from choosing a research topic and developing a hypothesis to collecting and analyzing data, interpreting the results, and presenting their findings. Students will work independently while consulting with their academic advisor.

目的 Objectives

The purpose of this course is to acquire "the ability to think logically and critically based on the high level of expertise, research skills and insight acquired; and to discover, analyze and solve problems" as stated in Diploma Policy 3.
Students will aim to achieve the following objectives:

Develop the ability to complete academic research with their expertise on the field.
Independently write and finalize a research paper.
Effectively communicate their research through academic conferences and research meetings while deepening their understanding through scholarly discussions.

Outcomes

Preparation and review

To earn course credits, students are required to complete 180 hours of study per 4 credits. Students should expect to spend approximately 8 hours per week on preparation and review outside of class.

Preparation (Approximately 4 Hours):
Students should thoroughly prepare for regular progress reports and interim research presentations, practicing how to explain their research in their own words. Any questions or areas for improvement pointed out by the academic advisor should be listed, and students should document how they have addressed each point to ensure they can articulate their responses.

Review (Approximately 4 Hours):
Students should organize the feedback from their academic advisor into 3–5 key action points and document them. They should then create a clear plan for how to proceed, including a timeline, and work on the necessary tasks accordingly.
