概要 Description
This task-based course simulates the experience of working in an English-speaking company. Students brainstorm new product ideas, pitch their ideas within the company, perform market research, design an ad campaign, and participate in a simulated job interview. The course starts with quite easy tasks and then builds toward more challenging projects. Students must work in small teams to complete these projects, while taking turns being the project manager for their team. Active participation in English is required.
目的 Objectives
The primary goal of this course is to increase students' communicative confidence and to develop their general fluency in using English in business settings. A secondary goal is to develop practical work-related skills such as working in teams, giving presentations, preparing written reports and handouts, and more. The course will also help students develop workplace-related vocabulary, expressions, and general pragmatic awareness. These objectives are in alignment with the B2 level of the Common European Framework or Reference (CEFR) Can Do List for speaking: "Students can reasonably fluently sustain a straightforward description of one of a variety of subjects within his/her field of interest, presenting it as a linear sequence of points").
到達目標 Outcomes
Attain the proficiency levels outlined in the CanDo list (aligned with CEFR) provided in the following link:
https://tus.box.com/s/98kx6qfrqts8i83po45fdncnivm5k2b3"

Students will become comfortable participating in workplace projects in English with small groups of co-workers. Students will also learn how to present their ideas to others in English persuasively.
