Most of the information will be given during the class period. It is important for the student to attend every class and do so with a willingness to communicate in English.
Students must gain a score of 60% or more and be in attendance for 2/3 of classes in order to pass. If a student misses 5 in a semester (for any reason), they will not be allowed to pass. (In some cases, an assignment will count as attendance) *extra note: If this is your first time to take this class, you are required to take the TOEIC test. In case you fail to take the tests, you will not be graded.* (This is not the case for repeating students) If you have any specific reason why you cannot attend the class on site, you need to submit a medical certificate or other necessary documents to the teacher in the beginning of the semester. アクティブ・ラーニング科目 Teaching type(Active Learning)
課題に対する作文 Essay/ディベート・ディスカッション Debate/Discussion/グループワーク Group work/プレゼンテーション Presentation/反転授業 Flipped classroom
Many of the assignments will be part of a long-term project. Group discussions are planned. The students will do presentations. At the end of the year, the students will do a final speech presentation based on a topic of the student's choice (that will require some research). Most presentation projects will be done on video.
準備学習・復習 Preparation and review
Outside of class, the student should read their materials for the projects.
Occasionally there will be homework, which should be done promptly, in preparation for the next class. Prepare and bring all materials to class. The students should review all notes each week after the lesson. 成績評価方法 Performance grading policy
