概要 Description

  • This course focuses on key theories and concepts related to innovation, which are essential in the practice of technology management. It also examines corporate case studies to help students understand the process of innovation creation.
  • While learning about the theories and concepts of innovation outlined in the "Objectives" and "Class plan" sections below, students will select a field (theme) of interest and relevant corporate case studies (companies, businesses, products, or services). They will analyze the mechanisms behind success (or failure) and, based on their analysis, propose practical improvements for fostering innovation. Finally, they will compile their findings into a final report. Case selection can be based on their own organization or on external cases.
目的 Objectives

  • This course is a specialized course. For its relevance to the diploma policy and curriculum policy of this major, refer to the “Course Guide”.
  • In the field of innovation, students will study the characteristics and impact of innovation, social processes, legitimization process, commercialization processes, and the management of inter-organizational relationships. Through this, they will develop an understanding of the processes through which innovation is created.
  • To acquire theoretical knowledge and concepts and apply them to real-world problems, each class will include simple analyses using case studies as well as case discussions. Through this process, the course aims to foster a way of thinking that goes beyond what can be gained from simply reading books—one that is developed by actively listening to others and engaging in discussions.
Outcomes
