MVP(Minimum Viable Product,

<!--[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]-->[Class format] Theory class 30: Case class 0: Group discussion 40: Guest 30: Field trip 00 (%)

Each of the following sessions will combine theory with cases and discussion. In addition, guest lectures will be given as needed. Specifically, the course will combine in-depth discussion of the topic through reports with theoretical learning through lectures. At the same time, students will review the topics using question memos.
The following should be completed prior to the first session.

  • Session 1 (13 June) Orientation & Introduction
Overview of new ventures and entrepreneurship.
  1. Introduction: Course Introduction / Orientation
  2. Lecture: “Why Venture Companies and New Ventures Are Necessary”

  • Session 2 (20 June) Visualizing Business Models - Mastering Frameworks -

  2. Lecture: “Visualizing Business Structure”
  3. Lecture: “Controlling Resolution”

  • Session 3 (27 June) Understanding Business Models - Business Model Analysis -

  2. Discussion: Free-flowing talk and discussion with the speakers

  • Session 6 (18 July) Idea Verification, Elevating the Quality of Your Problem Definition −Idea Verification & Customer Problem Fit (CPF)−
Verify whether your business idea is what the market actually needs. Ideas can spring forth endlessly depending on your perspective, but the most crucial thing is to focus on the quality of the problem.

If you seek solutions before refining the problem, you risk acting solution-centric and potentially heading in the wrong direction. To refine the quality of the problem, confirm whether the customer truly recognizes the problem.

  1. Discussion: Review of last session using question notes
  2. Lecture: “Idea Verification, Raising the Quality of the Problem”

  • Session 7 (25 July) Solution Exploration, Creating What People Want - Problem Solution Fit (PSF) & Product Market Fit (PMF) -
No matter how excellent a product you create, it means nothing if it doesn't solve the problem. Conduct thorough validation before optimizing the product. If both the “quality of the problem” and the “quality of the solution” are high, the market will demand it.

Launch an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) with essential features to gauge real customer reactions.

While avoiding over-engineering and maximizing resource efficiency is crucial, never forget that even an MVP must offer users one uniquely compelling value proposition that competitors lack.

  1. Discussion: Reviewing Last Session Using Question Notes
  2. Lecture: “Evaluating Solutions, Creating What People Want”

  • Session 8 (1 Aug) Final Presentation / Summary Lecture 【Startup Science】
Based on previous lectures, students will organize their thoughts using business model frameworks and present their findings.

  2. Summary Lecture: “How to Increase the Probability of Startup Success”

*There will be a total of 8 lectures as they will be held in 6 and 7 consecutive sessions.
*Invited sessions may be changed or not invited due to the availability of guest speakers.
