概要 Description
Under the supervision of an academic advisor, students will develop an understanding of specialized topics in organic chemistry, chiral chemistry, and asymmetric synthesis while refining their experimental and analytical techniques. At the same time, they will cultivate logical thinking and problem-solving skills. By striving to achieve their individually assigned research objectives, students will enhance their overall research advancement capabilities.
The objective is to develop research advancement skills through research discussions with the academic advisor while promoting the assigned research theme.
Through discussions with the academic advisor and literature reviews, students will understand the position of their research theme within the relevant field. At the beginning of the first year, they will develop a research plan for the two-year master's program and conduct actual research. Based on their findings, they will present at academic conferences and write research papers. This process aims to cultivate the qualities necessary to become independent researchers.

Preparation and review
Research is the accumulation of daily experiments. It is essential to meticulously analyze the obtained experimental results and use them to formulate the next experimental plan. Additionally, staying up to date with the latest research trends in related fields is crucial. Performance grading policy
Evaluation will be conducted comprehensively, considering the following factors: attitude toward research (including cooperation and communication within the laboratory), research planning, data organization and analysis, seminar and conference presentations, reports, daily conduct, punctuality, and attendance (60%). Additionally, the presentation of the master's research and the preparation of the master's thesis will account for 40% of the evaluation. Since this is an experimental chemistry course, if separate criteria for tardiness and absences are established, prior notice will be given. Evaluation of academic achievement

Students will acquire fundamental concepts related to chirality and develop research plans on topics such as Strecker-type synthesis. They will conduct literature reviews to gain a deep understanding of the novelty of their research themes and master the necessary synthesis techniques and analytical methods. Additionally, they will perform structural analysis and optical purity measurements of synthesized compounds. As the research progresses, students will further refine their skills in handling organic compounds and organic crystals, conducting experiments, and analyzing experimental data. They will also develop the ability to compile their research findings into reports and presentations. Furthermore, through discussions with their academic advisor, they will learn fundamental approaches to advancing their research. Work experience of the instructor
