概要 Description

Engage in the preparation of a master's thesis.
As an original and novel academic research endeavor, experience and master the entire research process: selecting a research topic, formulating research methods and plans, investigating related studies, developing hypotheses, collecting and analyzing data, and writing the thesis.
Through this process, cultivate logical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills.

目的 Objectives

This course enables students to fully utilize the knowledge and skills acquired during their undergraduate studies to complete an independent academic research project.
Students cultivate the ability to extract new insights and synthesize them into a thesis by repeatedly formulating and testing hypotheses through data analysis on a research topic of their own interest.
This course is designed to develop the ability to complete research on a self-selected theme using specialized knowledge, as defined in the faculty's Diploma Policy.
Outcomes

  • The goal is to become capable of independently executing the entire research process (selection of research topics, formulation of research methods and plans, investigation of related research, hypothesis formulation, data collection, analysis, and thesis writing).
  • The goal is to develop and execute an original research theme and to present at academic conferences or publish research papers during the master's program.
  • The goal is to acquire various knowledge and skills through master's research while cultivating logical thinking methods and expressive abilities.

Preparation and review

  • Preparation (approx. 2 hours): Study the methodologies necessary for your research and investigate related studies. If presentations or progress reports are required, prepare clear and concise explanations and create materials.
  • Review (approx. 2 hours): Address points raised by providing logical explanations, gathering evidence, conducting additional analysis, and considering countermeasures.
