概要 Description
Medical materials (biomaterials) have become important in supporting modern medicine. An important point to consider in the development of biomaterials is that an interface always exists when a material comes into contact with a living organism. This lecture will use examples to explain how various medical materials are created and used by controlling the interaction between materials and living organisms at the interface. Through this lecture, you will come to understand the characteristics of surfaces (interfaces). Furthermore, through examples such as artificial organ materials and tissue engineering (regenerative medicine) materials, you will understand the properties that various materials should possess as biomaterials. This course will develop the knowledge that engineers working in the medical device field should have in the future. This course is a "specialized subject" aimed at producing creative human resources who have mastered basic science and design thinking, as well as specialized knowledge of nanomedicine and robotics, and is part of the achievement of the department's diploma policy, which states, "We aim to produce creative human resources who have mastered specialized knowledge of nanomedicine and robotics, and to foster human resources who can generate innovation based on correct ethics and rich humanity."
This is a "specialized subject" aimed at producing creative human resources who have acquired specialized knowledge of nanomedicine and robotics after mastering basic science and design thinking, as stipulated in Articles 1 and 5 of the Curriculum Policy, and is part of the achievement of the Department's diploma policy of "aiming to produce creative human resources who have acquired specialized knowledge of nanomedicine and robotics, and to develop human resources who will generate innovation with correct ethics and rich humanity." The aim is to understand the basics of the use of the three major materials used as biomaterials, as well as to be able to grasp their applications, problems, and issues.
