概要 Description
Critical Thinking is a post-graduate level course in this most basic cognitive skill set, which is necessary to understanding how to process information and engage with issues dialogically.
目的 Objectives
Students in Critical Thinking will learn what critical thinking is, will gain experience in applying critical thinking to relevant and current issues, and will form a working vocabulary of dialogic discourse markers used in professional academic written and spoken communication.
到達目標 Outcomes
The goals of this course are to play a formative role in the development of the ways students take in, process, an apply information. The instructor expects students to become media literate, more sceptical of information sources, explicitly knowledgeable about the basic patterns of logical thinking, and well-practiced at using phrases need to express those patterns in both writing and speech.
