概要　Description

本授業では、英語でのジェネラル・コミュニケーションとアカデミック・ライティング能力を有機的に、より発展的に伸ばすことを目指す。ライティングにおいては一般的な英語表現を概観し、リーディングにおいては、科学や技術の一般的な問題を含むトピックに関する表現法を確認する。それにより、各授業において、より高度なライティングとコミュニケーション技能の演習に取り組み、複雑な考えを明瞭で明確な方法で表現する方法を学ぶ。学生は質問やフィードバックをすることで、積極的な授業参加を行う。
なお、当科目は本学教養教育の編成方針の定める、「コミュニケーション能力かつ国際性（異文化・異言語・異民族・国際問題の理解力）」に関する科目です。

目的　Objectives

1.　科学技術系の語彙を増強を図る。
2.　writingにおいては、一般的な英語表現力を増強する。
3.、readingにおいては、構文を正しく把握して正確な解釈を身につける。

到達目標　Outcomes

一般的な英語表現がどの点において、日本語表現とは違うかに注目して、それを実践的な表現力へと発展させる。
科学技術系の英語には、特有の表現法があり、それを身につけることで、文章を正確に読む力を身につける。
また、日本語と英語の表現法の違いについて、文化的背景を絡めて確認し、科学技術系英文の円滑な産出に生かす

欠席がないように注意してください。授業開始時に語彙に関する小テスト実施します。これに間に合わないと遅刻となります。遅刻が増えると欠席扱いとなります。具体的には授業中に説明します。また、定期的に確認テストを実施します。
