概要 Description
Information systems are an integral part of all business activities and career fields. This course is designed to introduce students to contemporary information systems and demonstrate how these systems are used in global organizations. The focus of this course is on the key components of information systems—people, software, hardware, data, and communication technologies—and how these components can be integrated and managed to create a competitive advantage. By understanding how information systems provide competitive advantage, students will gain insight into how information is used within organizations and how information technology (IT) enables improvements in quality, speed, and organizational agility. This course also introduces systems development concepts, technology acquisition strategies, and various types of application software that are prevalent or emerging in modern organizations and society. This course follows a DX (Digital Transformation) format. For the first session, several pre-recorded video lectures will be provided one week in advance. These lectures will primarily explain and introduce the basic concepts and principles of Management Information Systems (MIS). Students may access the digital lectures anytime and anywhere via the network. The second session will be conducted on-site. During this class, students will participate in group activities and deliver presentations in English. 目的 Objectives
The Management Information Systems (MIS) course is one of the fundamental subjects in Business Administration. Through this course:
This course also aims to support the department’s Diploma Policies and “Goals of Specialized Education” of Tokyo University of Science, which state:
Through this DX-style course format, students will experience ubiquitous and seamless digital learning. In addition, the research–report–presentation process conducted during the second (on-site) session will encourage active participation and help students develop global teamwork and professional presentation skills. 到達目標 Outcomes
