概要 Description

The available evidence in psychology and economics suggests that individuals’ behaviors systematically deviate from the standard economic theory based on the perfect rationality. This course will give you a broad overview of the modern advances in behavioral economics and bounded rationality, including rational inattention, search behavior, time inconsistent preferences, judgment under risk and uncertainty, and social preference, and show the economic implications of those psychologically richer models.
目的 Objectives

One objective of the class is to give a brief introduction to recent topics of the fields. The other is to expose students to research papers and methods being expected to utilize their own study. Presentations, report papers, and research proposal by the student would be anticipated.
Furthermore, this course aims to cultivate the 'ability to apply specialized knowledge and think about challenges logically and critically,' which is one of the 'Goals of Specialized Education' at the Tokyo University of Science.
Outcomes
It would be expected that you get an overview and basis knowledge of the field with an eye toward its application to your field.
