設定した研究課題にかかる博士研究の推進
To promote Doctoral Study related to the specified research topic.

博士研究における研究の推進を目的とする。本専攻のディプロマ・ポリシーに定める研究能力を身につける科目です。
This course is to aim to promote research in Doctoral Study.
This course is designed to provide students with research ability as stipulated in the diploma policy of the Department.

２年次の前半に履修する（火災科学博士研究２Bの単位を修得していない）場合には，博士後期課程の論文作成に向けて、論文作成に向けた研究課題を確定し、主たるテーマに関する論文の執筆に入る。
２年次の後半に履修する（火災科学博士研究２Bの単位を既に修得している）場合には，執筆した論文を学術雑誌に投稿することを原則とし、中間発表会で論文要旨を発表する。　

As for those who take this course in the first half of the Second year, on the other word, if you have not taken the credits of 'Doctoral Study 2B on Fire Science', the outcome will be determing the research topic for the thesis for the doctorates course, and start writing for the thesis on the main topic.
As for those who take this course in the second half of the Second year, on the other word, if you have already taken the credits of 'Doctoral Study 2B on Fire Science', the outcome will be to submit a written paper to an academic journal, and give presentation of the abstract to the interim report meeting.

火災・爆発に関連する燃焼現象の数理モデル構築について、理論解析および数値計算、実験による検証を研究対象として、2年次の前半に履修する（火災科学博士研究2Bの単位を修得していない）場合には，博士後期課程の論文作成に向けて、研究者に必要な基礎的知識の習得や既往の研究成果に関する文献調査を行い，論文作成に向けた研究課題の設定、研究計画の策定、研究方法の選定作業を行う。2年次の後半に履修する（火災科学博士研究2Bの単位を既に修得している）場合には，既往の研究成果を整理し，研究の推進に必要な測定技術や調査方法を習得し，論文を作成するための研究を推進する。

Theoretical analysis, numerical simulations, and experimental validation will be conducted to develop mathematical models of combustion phenomena related to accidental fires and explosions.
In case one did not acquire the credit unit of Fire Science Doctoral Research 2B, which is held in the second semester of the 2nd year, one will determine the research theme start writing of the doctoral thesis on at least one of the main topics.
In case one acquired the credit unit of Fire Science Doctoral Research 2B, which is held in the second semester of the 2nd year, one will submit one’s paper which is written in Fire Science Doctoral Research 2B to an appointed Journal. One is required to make an interim research presentation to get appropriate advises from professors in the Department.

火災時の避難行動や避難シミュレーション、建築物・施設・都市空間における火災時の避難計画、避難安全評価に関する分野について、種々の実験装置を駆使した実験的および理論的アプローチ、さらにはシミュレーションモデルの構築等を研究対象とする。
2年次の前半に履修する（火災科学博士研究2Bの単位を修得していない）場合には，博士後期課程の論文作成に向けて、研究者に必要な基礎的知識の習得や既往の研究成果に関する文献調査を行い，論文作成に向けた研究課題の設定、研究計画の策定、研究方法の選定作業を行う。2年次の後半に履修する（火災科学博士研究2Bの単位を既に修得している）場合には，既往の研究成果を整理し，研究の推進に必要な測定技術や調査方法を習得し，論文を作成するための研究を推進する。
The research scope encompasses evacuation behavior and simulation during fires, fire evacuation planning for buildings, facilities, and urban spaces, and evacuation safety assessment. Research methodologies include experimental approaches utilizing various experimental equipment, theoretical approaches, and the development of evacuation simulation models.

可燃物の燃焼性状、区画火災性状、区画間および建物間の延焼拡大性状とその防止技術、避難と煙性状の関係性などに関する分野を研究対象として、１年次の前半に履修する（火災科学博士研究１Bの単位を修得していない）場合には、博士後期課程の論文作成に向けて、研究者に必要な基礎的知識の習得や既往の研究成果に関する文献調査を行い，論文作成に向けた研究課題の設定、研究計画の策定、研究方法の選定作業を行う。１年次の後半に履修する（火災科学博士研究１Bの単位を既に修得している）場合には、既往の研究成果を整理し、研究の推進に必要な測定技術や調査方法を習得し、論文を作成するための研究を推進する。

Aiming at field about combustion behavior of fuel, compartment fire, fire spread behavior between compartments and buildings and its prevention method, relationship between human behavior and smoke behavior.
Those who take this course in the first half of the first year (i.e., those who have not taken Doctoral Study 1B on Fire Science) will set up a research subject and propose a research schedule and methods through literature review and obtaining essential knowledge. Those who take this course in the second half of the first year (i.e., those who have taken Doctoral Study 1B on Fire Science) will summarize previous research achievements, learn necessary research skills, and conduct research toward completing their theses.
