履修上の注意 Course notes prerequisites
Students should attend all classes on time and participate as much as possible. Note that attendance, late arrivals, participation, absences, and all other factors are recorded very carefully.

A total amount of four absences equals a failing grade.
Note that late arrivals count towards the total amount of absences, as follows:
One late arrival (of up to 20 minutes after the start of class) equals half (that is, 1/2 or 0.5) of an absence.
So, two late arrivals (of up to 20 minutes after the start of class) equals one absence.
One late arrival (of more than 20 minutes after the start of class) equals one absence.

Simply:
Case                                                                                             Strike
Attendance on time                                                                          0
Late arrival of up to 20 minutes after lesson start                           0.5
Late arrival of more than 20 minutes after the lesson start            1
Absence                                                                                            1
An accumulation of 4 total strikes over the semester = automatic failure.

Late train notes from a train station will not be collected.
Official certificates and documents (for example, from a hospital due to a very serious condition) submitted to the TUS office will be taken into consideration.

You must buy a NEW textbook. If you have a used (that is, secondhand) textbook, you will not be able to participate fully in this course.
