概要　Description

現代社会を取り巻くさまざまな問題を話題とした英文を教材として、英語読解力・訳解力の向上を図りつつ、さらに高度な英語運用力を身につけるための基礎を養う。なお、当科目は本学教養教育の編成方針の定める、「コミュニケーション能力かつ国際性（異文化・異言語・異民族・国際問題の理解力）」に関する科目である。

目的　Objectives

具体的には以下の３点を目標とする。
　１. 文法・語彙知識を正確に応用しながら、英文を理解することができる。
　 2. 読解した文章を英語でまとめてみる。
　 3. 語彙力をつける

到達目標　Outcomes

１．現代社会で話題にあがる様々なトピックの英文に親しむ。
2．良く使われる語彙を習得する。
3．内容に関連するShort Listeningに慣れる

履修上の注意　Course notes prerequisites

1．パソコンで自動翻訳してくる学生が増えたので授業中はパソコンを開かない。
　　
　

2．　出欠
　　　教科書を持たないものも欠席扱い。忘れたなら、友人からコピーさせてもらうこと。
　　　遅刻３回で欠席１回とみなす。
　　　３０分以上の遅刻は在籍しても構わないが欠席とみなす。
　　　在室しながら寝ている,他のことをしている場合は遅刻とみなす。
　　　各学期２/3以上出席しなければ試験は受けられない。

　　　提出物の期限を守ること。
