概要 Description

In the latter half of the course, we study stochastic differential equations, including existence and uniqueness of solutions, weak and strong solutions, change of measure (Girsanov’s theorem), and Stratonovich integrals, leading to diffusion processes, Kolmogorov equations, and the Feynman–Kac formula. As in the first semester, the course is conducted in a student-presentation, discussion-based format. Through proofs, examples, and calculations, participants deepen their understanding of the basic framework of stochastic analysis.

目的 Objectives

The aim of this seminar is to understand the fundamental theory of stochastic differential equations, including existence and uniqueness of solutions, change of measure, and their structure as diffusion processes. Students will present assigned sections and develop mathematical intuition on stochastic analysis and diffusion processes through discussion.
Outcomes

1. Define stochastic differential equations and explain existence and uniqueness of solutions, as well as the difference between strong and weak solutions.
2. Describe change of measure via Girsanov’s theorem and the basic properties of Stratonovich integrals.
3. Understand SDEs as diffusion processes and explain the meaning of Kolmogorov equations and the Feynman–Kac formula.
