Students will experience listening to a wide selection of everyday conversations that take place in a variety of  situations. Different topics each week will provide a chance to encounter familiar and new vocabulary and expressions and actively take part in using them in conversation with classmates. Outside of class, students will use e-learning materials and will be assessed on their grasp of vocabulary and grammatical knowledge.

(1) Improve general listening ability.
(2) Become able to communicate more fluently.
(3) Cosolidate vocabulary and grammar studied in school.

Students will engage with materials that provide the necessary elements that enable them to better take part in conversation in everyday situations.

This subject is intended to develop the following abilities.
・Logical and critical thinking ability
・communication ability
・Understanding of internationality (different culture, different language, different ethnicity, international affairs)

Students must earn a score of 60％ or more and be iStudents must earn a score of 60% or more and be in attendance for 2/3 of classes in order to pass.
Less than 2/3 attendance will result in failure regardless of the reason for the absence.

Homework requirements will be explained each class.

Exam for evaluating the level of achievement: 50%; reports: 20%; short exams: 20%; activeattitude to classes (contribution to group discussions): 10%
Feedback methods:
- Short exams are marked and collectively returned in the final class.
- Examples of answers of reports will be placed on LETUS.
