概要 Description
Delivering Effective Research Presentations in English
When graduate students start to attend international academic conferences, presenting research findings in English can pose a big challenge. In this course, students will have the opportunity to present on the content of their current research projects at Tokyo University of Science in English and to answer questions from the audience. They will also learn a variety of strategies for communicating with an audience in a more effective and engaging manner.
目的 Objectives
Students will develop the proficiency to speak more accurately, clearly, and with greater confidence about their specific fields of research interest. The design of the course encourages autonomous learning and a clear focus from the start, which allow students to more quickly acquire the key English vocabulary and the necessary communicative skills to present their research findings and answer challenging questions. In-class practice and feedback will help students to gain the skills to talk about their cutting-edge research with greater fluency and confidence.
