概要 Description

This course builds a rigorous foundation in mathematical finance together with the probabilistic tools that underlie pricing models. Week 1 outlines the roadmap and learning goals; Weeks 2–3 review core probability theory. Weeks 4–6 develop Brownian motion, Itô integration, and the basics of stochastic differential equations (SDEs). Weeks 7–9 introduce the fundamentals of option pricing and derive the Black–Scholes model and its partial differential equation via multiple approaches, with selective exposure to interest-rate term-structure modeling as appropriate. Weeks 10–13 form the centerpiece of the course: Malliavin calculus from fundamentals to applications, including sensitivity/Greeks, representation formulas, and use cases in pricing and risk management. Week 14 extends to jump–diffusion and Lévy-driven models and their applications. Week 15 synthesizes the material, surveys advanced topics and recent developments, and consolidates the overall learning outcomes.
目的 Objectives

This course aims to acquire the methods of basic time series analysis and their applications for graduate students in the field of management science.
Outcomes

Building on probability and Itô calculus, the course equips students to derive, implement, and validate pricing, sensitivities, and risk diagnostics from Black–Scholes to Malliavin calculus and jump–diffusion models.

Course notes prerequisites

Prerequisites: Prior exposure to calculus, linear algebra, and introductory probability (e.g., conditional probability, expectation) is strongly recommended. If any gaps exist, students should self-study by Weeks 1–3 using the assigned materials.

Attendance Modality: Considering the hands-on nature of the course, students must attend more than half of the 15 sessions in person (≥ 8). For illness or official duties, notify the instructor in advance; documentation may be required.

Classroom Conduct: Side conversations and any disruptive chatter are prohibited. Laptops and devices are to be used for learning purposes only.
