概要 Description
The course will provide a broad overview of physics teaching and learning, based on physics education research (PER). In the class, participants will learn through exercises about active learning type lessons and utilization of ICT developed based on PER. At the end of the semester, participants will learn about prior research on lesson practice and acquire skills for planning, implementing, and critically evaluating lessons by themselves.
Based on the achievements of PER and contemporary issue s in physics education, participants will acquire practical leadership skills on teaching methods that actively encourage the formation of scientific concepts.
(1) Various approaches based on PER explained and discussed. (2) Student-centered physics teaching designed, implemented, and evaluated according to PER. (3) IT materials that actively promote students’ acquisition of physics concepts used. (4) Subject-based education literature in physics searched, presented, and critically discussed.

Preparation and review
Participants require approximately 1 hour for preparation and review. The documents should be carefully read. Performance grading policy
Performance evaluated according to the results of the small report after each lecture, the task report, a simulated lesson, and presentation of the unit. More than 60 points should be obtained. The small report is judged according to the degree of comprehension of the contents of the lecture, and corresponds to 45% of the total grade. The task reports and other activities are judged according to the degree of comprehension of the topic and correspond to 55% of the total grade. Evaluation of academic achievement
