概要 Description
This is a practical English course. The focus will be on:

1 - reading comprehension: Students will read articles on current events to understand meaning and make inferences about the text's content.

2 - practical writing skills: Students will write everyday texts aimed at the B1 level. This area will be supported by grammar instruction using the textbook.

3- functional oral communication to bridge the gap between the classroom and the world of work

Students will stretch their English skills to best prepare them for their professional life. SIGNIFICANT pre-study and post-study are required to develop skills and prepare students to apply practical usage during class time. The objectives are based on building confidence communicating in a professional situation and succeeding in the TOEIC test. Upon completion, successful students will be able to listen, read and analyze authentic material needed for everyday job-related topics. They will better understand the standard speech encountered in the workplace and will be able to follow and create structured and straightforward presentations.
目的 Objectives
--Students will be able to read texts aligned to the B1-B2 CEFR level and then engage in discussions using the content that they have read.

--Students will produce written texts achieving practical communicative functions in English demonstrating adequate grammar and vocabulary competencies.

--Students will study TOEIC vocabulary words in a self-guided manner to improve their scores and develop independent study habits.
到達目標 Outcomes
Through this course, students should 1) communicate effectively by speaking clearly and coherently in both formal and informal settings, 2) demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills by applying prior knowledge and new language skills to varied situations, 3) use language-learning strategies to build English vocabulary. 4) Collaborate to solve problems, share ideas, and complete language-based activities.
