概要 Description

You will learn the basics of modern differential geometry and its applications.
You will be able to acquire gauge theory and fiber bundle theory.
It is known that all physical phenomena are described by some kinds of gauge theories.
Your intellectual curiosity about mathematics is roused by knowing the connection between the real world and mathematics.

Case 1: You will learn Riemannian geometry at the beginning, learn general relativity theory by applying its knowledge.
Case 2: After learning principal bundles, you will know the gauge theory.
目的 Objectives

To understand connection theory in differential geometry, especially Riemannian geometry and gauge theory
Outcomes
In differential geometry, you can understand the concept of connection and curvature of vector bundles and principal bundles and calculate them.
As those applications, you can understand how to construct a rotational symmetric solution of the Einstein equation or the composition method for solutions of the Yang-Mills equation.
