概要 Description
This course develops students' reading, listening and speaking skills by adopting a task-based approach that helps students achieve their goals. Contextualized practice of grammar and vocabulary makes the learning process more memorable and engaging. A wide range of contemporary topics and video materials help students discover English in the context of the modern world.
目的 Objectives
Students will be able to understand texts on various topics of the contemporary world (CEFR B2 Can Do List for reading: "Students can read straightforward factual texts on subjects related to his/her field and interest with a satisfactory level of comprehension") and discuss on common topics and describe their experiences (CEFR B2 Can Do List for speaking: "Students can reasonably fluently sustain a straightforward description of one of a variety of subjects within his/her field of interest, presenting it as a linear sequence of points"). They will extend their vocabulary and make their grammatical knowledge solid through activities.
到達目標 Outcomes
Students will be confident with expressing themselves in English in various situations, such as retelling a story, choosing someone to hire or fire, and talking about a show you love or hate. They will also familiarize themselves with common topics of the modern world, such as career, films and fate.
