本科目は、カリキュラムポリシーの１及び４に基づいており、特に４の「科学現象の観察及び結果の解釈を自ら行うことができるように」なるための基礎力を身に着けることを目指す。

材料工学の基礎､専門分野の基礎に関する適切な教科書､文献(いずれも主として英文)を選んで輪講形式でｾﾐﾅｰを行うことで、専門知識及び英語力を養う｡

This course is based on Curriculum Policies 1 and 4, with a particular emphasis on cultivating the fundamental skills to 'observe scientific phenomena and interpret results independently,' as outlined in Policy 4.

This seminar aims to cultivate expertise in materials engineering and a foundation in the specialized field. It involves selecting appropriate textbooks and literature, primarily in English, and conducting seminars in a rotating discussion format to enhance both subject-specific knowledge and English proficiency.

材料工学の基礎、専門分野の基礎に関する英語で書かれた文献を読み、その内容を理解・咀嚼し、それぞれの卒業研究の土台をつくることが目的である。

The goal is to read literature written in English on the fundamentals of materials engineering and the specific field, understand and digest its content, and establish the foundation for each student's graduation research.

与えられた英語の教科書もしくは文献を読み、言葉の意味を理解しておくこと。
自分が担当の箇所については、内容を説明できるようにしておくこと。また、質問を受けても答えられる準備をしておくこと。

The given English textbook or literature should be read, and the meaning of the words understood. For the assigned part, ensure the ability to explain the content. Also, be prepared to answer questions if asked.

材料工学に関する英語の教科書もしくは論文を輪読し、専門知識および英語力を身に付ける｡また､卒業論文のﾃｰﾏに関連した英文の学術論文を講読し､卒業研究の内容の理解を深める｡

Read and discuss English textbooks or papers related to materials engineering to acquire specialized knowledge and English proficiency. Additionally, read academic papers in English related to the theme of the graduation thesis to deepen understanding of the content of the graduation research.
