To promote Doctoral Study related to the specified research topic.

博士研究における研究の推進を目的とする。本専攻のディプロマ・ポリシーに定める研究能力を身につける科目です。
This course is to aim to promote research in Doctoral Study.
This course is designed to provide students with research ability as stipulated in the diploma policy of the Department.

原則として、執筆論文を適切な学術雑誌に投稿し、専攻の中間発表会で論文要旨を発表する。

In principle, students should submit their written papers to the appropriate academic journals and present the abstract of their papers at the mid-term presentation meeting of the department.

燃焼学・火災物理学を中心とした様々な現象論に関し、最先端の実験装置を駆使した実験的および理論的アプローチ、さらにはシミュレーションモデルの構築等を研究対象として、執筆した論文を学術雑誌に投稿することとし、中間発表会で論文要旨を発表し、教員から講評を受ける。

A student is required to submit a written paper to an academic journal in the fields related to various phenomenological subjects, mainly combustion and fire physics, including experimental and theoretical approaches using state-of-the-art experimental equipment, as well as simulation models, and to present an abstract of the paper at an interim presentation, which will be critiqued by the faculty.

火災・爆発に関連する燃焼現象の数理モデル構築について、理論解析および数値計算、実験による検証を研究対象として、２年次の前半に履修する（火災科学博士研究2Aの単位を修得していない）場合には、博士後期課程の論文作成に向けて、論文作成に向けた研究課題を確定し、主たるテーマに関する論文の執筆に入ることを原則とする。２年次の後半に履修する（火災科学博士研究2Aの単位を既に修得している）場合には、執筆した論文を所定の学会に投稿することを原則とし、研究科全体での中間発表会で論文要旨を発表し、教員から講評を受ける。

A student is required to submit a written paper to an academic journal in the fields related to construction of mathematical models of combustion phenomena related to fire and explosion, including theoretical analysis and numerical calculations, and experimental verification, and to present an abstract of the paper at an interim presentation, which will be critiqued by the faculty.
