概要　Description

統計的品質管理に関するトピックスを取り上げ、深く探求する。

The purpose of this course is to provide a nuanced understanding of specific topics related to statistical quality control.

目的　Objectives

統計学はビジネスや産業に広く用いられているが、その応用上の問題についてトピックスを取り上げ、
深く理解することにより、統計の応用面での重要性を実体験として理解することを目的としている。
本専攻のディプロマ・ポリシーに定める『経営工学における実務的課題を適切に解決できる実践力を有すること』を実現するための科目である。

This course focuses on the application of statistics to business and industry. The purpose is to elucidate the critical issues associated with the application of statistics in the real world.
The course content falls under the following category specified in the diploma policy: “expert knowledge in the expert fields of the Management Science Major at the Graduate School of Science and Technology.”

準備学習・復習　Preparation and review

対象として取り上げたトピックスについて、授業で配付する資料、及び学生自身が調べた関連資料を、準備学習として充分に学習しておくこと。また、復習も充分に行うこと。

Students are expected to thoroughly revise the materials distributed in the class as well as related materials available online and offline.

成績評価方法　Performance grading policy

ディスカッション（50%)、レポート(50%)に基づいて評価する。

The evaluation is based on the quality of discussion (50%) and assignments (50%).
