概要 Description
Freshman English 1 is designed for first-year students. Its aim is to prepare you for further studies at university and lay a foundation for the use of English in the future, at work and in research. This will be achieved by revising the basic grammar and vocabulary you learned at school and using this in more practical situations.
目的 Objectives
This class moves away from a formal type of teacher-centered English learning. It moves towards you taking control and beginning to improve your ability to talk about various topics connected with social issues.
到達目標 Outcomes

This class is devised to help provide the following: ・To broaden an outlook on Nature/Human Beings/ Society ・To think logically and critically ・To communicate ideas ・To develop a sense of Internationalization (cross-cultural communication/knowledge of foreign languages/knowledge of other peoples/knowledge of International Affairs) To CV students: The Department of Civil Engineering designates this class under learning/education as "Type (E) Nature/Social Studies: Enhancing the ability to carry out Civil Engineering via a thorough grounding and a greater understanding of Nature/Humanities/Social Science".
