・知財の面白さと重要性を知り、就職や社会で役立つ知的財産の基礎力の習得を目指す。
・研究者、技術者及び教職者を志望する学生のための知財入門講座。
・理科大生が卒業後・修了後、企業・研究所等で研究開発、商品企画等に従事することを想定し、知的財産と企業経営および経済社会との関連性を把握できるよう、具体的な事例の分析または知財実務に即した演習等を通じ、知的財産の基礎を修得することを目指す。

・ Learn the fun and importance of intellectual property, and aim to acquire the basic skills of intellectual property that are useful in employment and society.
・ Introductory course on intellectual property for students who want to be researchers, engineers, and teachers.
・ Assuming that TUS graduates will engage in research and development, product planning, etc. at companies and research institutes after graduation and completion, concretely so that they can understand the relationship between intellectual property and corporate management and economic society. We aim to acquire the basics of intellectual property through analysis of various cases or exercises in line with intellectual property practice.

・課題を自ら発見し、主体的に考え、解決に取り組むための論理的・批判的思考力を習得する。

・履修者数の上限は、抽選で50名。
・過去に担当教員（平塚三好）の開講する知的財産の講義科目の単位を取得した学生は、実体として同内容となることから、履修できないため、注意すること。
・成績評価において、全体のうち、平常の授業への積極的参加（発言やプレゼンテーション）は4割である。
・毎回の講義の前後等、随時、LETUSでのアナウンスを確認すること。
・新型コロナ感染症等の状況、並びに履修者に合わせた最適な学習を行うため、授業計画が変更となる場合がある（授業形態、内容、順序、ゲストスピーカ等）。
・同じ名称の講義課目が前期・後期、並びに他のキャンパスで開講されているため、CLASS及びLETUSの登録にあたり、授業コードに間違いがないか、必ず確認してください。

・準備学習：毎回の授業に先立ち、該当箇所を事前に予習しておくこと。

　将来、研究・開発に関わる学生が知的財産を学ぶ意義や知的財産の種類などを理解し、知的財産を意識できるようになる。

２．特許制度の概要 【教室での対面授業】
　特許制度の特徴や特許取得の意義等を理解し、研究や開発の場面で特許を意識できるようになる。その他、知的財産全般の理解に資するトピックスを通じ、知的財産の理解を深める。

３．特許取得までのプロセス【非同期オンライン授業（オンデマンド）】
　研究開発の成果である発明について特許を取得するための特許出願手続きから特許取得までの概要を把握するとともに、発明について「特許請求の範囲」としての表現の仕方を理解し、特許取得までのプロセスを俯瞰できるようになる。知的財産全般の理解に資するトピックスを通じ、知的財産の理解を深める。

４．企業経営と特許制度（教室での対面講義の場合は学生プレゼンテーションも実施）
　企業経営と特許制度の関係性について概観できるようになる。知的財産全般の理解に資するトピックスを通じ、知的財産の理解を深める。

５．特許権の権利行使（教室での対面講義の場合は学生プレゼンテーションも実施）
　企業における特許取得の意義として、競合企業に対する権利行使が行われた場合について、すなわち特許権侵害事件の事例を通じ、理解し、企業経営と特許権の権利行使との関係について概観できるようになる。知的財産全般の理解に資するトピックスを通じ、知的財産の理解を深める。

６．特許情報の収集と活用（教室での対面講義の場合は学生プレゼンテーションも実施）
　インターネット上で最も簡便に特許情報を収集・活用する手段として知財情報プラットホームJ-PlatPatにおける特許情報の検索方法を理解し、特許情報を収集できるようになる。知的財産全般の理解に資するトピックスを通じ、知的財産の理解を深める。

７．多様な知財情報の収集と活用（教室での対面講義の場合は学生プレゼンテーションも実施）
　知財情報プラットホームJ-PlatPatにおける知財全般の情報の検索方法を理解し、知財情報を収集できるようになる。知的財産全般の理解に資するトピックスを通じ、知的財産の理解を深める。

８．著作権（教室での対面講義の場合は学生プレゼンテーションも実施）
　著作権法の概略として、「著作権法の目的」「著作者と著作権者」「保護対象としての著作物」「著作権の種類」「保護期間」など著作権法の基本的理念と構成を把握し、社会と著作権の関係を概観できるようになる。知的財産全般の理解に資するトピックスを通じ、知的財産の理解を深める。

　これまでの総仕上げとして、知的財産を活用できるよう、あらためて知的財産を理解する。
