概要　Description

学部卒業論文の発展を含め、今日的な研究テーマをレビューし、期待される研究成果を想定しながら、技術者倫理を遵守した上で研究課題の解決に取り組む能力を身につける。また，研究の過程で要求される一連の研究方法を学ぶために、ゼミ形式で研究を行う。

In this course, students conduct a project work related with civil engineering; project work includes literature reviews, observation, and experiment, etc, all of which are done under the guidance and the instruction by academic supervisors

目的　Objectives

学部での経験と実績を踏まえ、技術者倫理を遵守した上で具体の研究計画・研究の遂行を行なう能力を身につける。具体的には、土木分野に関わる研究課題を具体的に設定し、研究を遂行する能力を身につける。

To develop skills and capability for accomplishing own research project related with civil engineering. This course also covers engineering ethics.

到達目標　Outcomes

1．研究課題を具体的に設定し、社会的な意義を説明することができる。
2．研究の遂行に必要な文献収集，研究計画の立案，実験・調査・分析を行うことができる。
3．研究成果を論文にとりまとめ、発表することができる。

1. Students can set research theme and explain the aim and the objective of the theme from the view point of social, engineering, or/and scientific background of that.
2. Students can review the necessary literatures, make a research plan, conduct experiments, and collect and analyze the data.
3. Students can deliver a dissertation that includes aims and objectives, argument, literature review, data collection, data analysis, and conclusions.

指導教員の指示を適宜受ける。結果、問題点について適宜指導教官に報告する。　

Students should proceed their research projects under regular instructions by academic supervisor.
Students should also discuss problems and results with academic supervisor regularly.

準備学習・復習　Preparation and review

準備学習：調査・実験・分析などを行う前に既存文献を良く調べ、十分な計画を立てる。
復習：調査・実験・分析結果の整理・考察を進める。定期的に指導教員と相談し、研究を進める。

Students should deepen knowledge of their research through review of literatures and books and discussion with their academic advisor before conducting experiments, field surveys, and data analyses. After them, students should conduct data analyses and discuss the results with their supervisor.

成績評価方法　Performance grading policy

ゼミ発表や研究進行状況により評価する。
Assessment is done by research presentation in lab. seminar and research progress through the course.
