指導教員の指導のもとで、研究テーマに密接に関連する文献調査と精読、修士論文執筆のために必要な文献調査の行い、調査・研究した内容について進捗状況の報告とディスカッションを随時行う。
Under the guidance of the supervisor, students survey the literature in order to set research themes and make research plans, and carefully read the literature closely related to the research themes. Students will also report their progress and discuss their surveys and researches from time to time.

概要に示した一連の取り組みを通じて、修得した高度な専門的知識と技術を基に、科学技術のみならず社会における多様な情報を収集し、論理的に分析を行い、その結果得られた課題を専門的知識を用いて解決策を提案するとともに、社会に発信できる論文作成能力やプレゼンテーション能力をはじめ、専門性の高い第一線の研究者・技術者として具備すべき能力を身に付けることを目的とする。なお、本科目は本専攻のディプロマポリシーに定める「電気工学専攻において修得した高度な専門知識・研究能力と教養をもと に、自ら課題を発見・設定し、解決する能力」および「電気工学専攻において修得した高度な専門知識・研究能力と教養をもとに、国際的な視野を持って活躍できる能力」を実現するための科目である。
Through a series of activities outlined in the Descriptions, and based on the high-level expertise and skills acquired, we aim to acquire the following skills that should be possessed as forefront researchers and engineers with high expertise:
1. Gather and logically analyze a variety of information in not only science and technology but also society.
2. Propose solutions to the themes obtained by the analyses.
3. Write papers and give presentations to make proposals public.
We aim to acquire "the ability to think logically and critically based on the high level of expertise, research skills and insight acquired in the Department of Electrical Engineering; and to discover, analyze and solve problems" and "the ability to be active with an international perspective based on the high level of specialist knowledge, research skills and knowledge of liberal arts acquired in the Department of Electrical Engineering" described in the Diploma Policies of the Department.

指導教員の指導のもとで、研究テーマに密接に関連する文献調査と精読、修士論文執筆のために必要な文献調査、調査・研究した内容についての進捗状況の報告とディスカッションできる能力を養うことを目標とする。
The goal is to equip students with the following abilities under the guidance of the supervisor:
1. Survey the literature in order to set research themes and make research plans.
2. Carefully read the literature closely related to the research themes.
3. Report progress and discuss their surveys and research.

木村研究室所属の学生に限る。

準備学習：毎回のゼミや研究報告会に向け，各回の調査テーマや研究報告課題に関して，十分な調査・研究・考察等を行うこと。（毎回２時間以上）
復習：毎回のゼミ並べに研究報告会で明らかになった知見や課題について整理し，さらに深く考察・調査・研究を進めることにより，次回に向けて取り組むこと。（毎回２時間以上）
(Preparation) Conduct adequate surveys, research and examination about each research theme and research report issue for each seminar and research meeting, spending more than 2 hours each time.
(Review) Organize the findings and tasks revealed at each seminar and research meeting, and undertake further examination, surveys and research for next time, spending more than 2 hours each time.

文献調査への取り組みを指導教員が評価する。また，ゼミなどでのプレゼンテーションの能力・発表内容・理解度を指導教員が評価する。両者の比率については，研究への取り組み６割，ゼミなどでの採点を４割として成績を評価し，６割以上を合格とする。
The supervisor will assess the level of effort in the literature survey, and the ability, contents, and understanding of the presentations in seminars. As for the ratios, the effort is 60% and the mark in seminars, etc. is 40%. Passing requires a score of at least 60%.

週１回定期的に研究室ゼミを行い、それを中心に以下のスケジュールを意識して研究を行う。

第１回〜３２回：研究分野のトピックを紹介し、各人の研究テーマの概要を決定。
各人は、研究テーマに係わる関連論文を調査し、皆の前で発表し、プレゼン手法の学習。
その際の議論を通じ、具体的な研究テーマに反映。

英語による発表と質疑応答を数回課す。

指導教員の指導のもと、以下を行う。原則として対面で指導するが、希望者に対してはオンラインで指導する。
(1)研究テーマ設定や研究計画立案のための文献調査の実施
(2)研究テーマに密接に関連する文献の精読
(3)調査・研究した内容について質疑応答を実施
Conduct the following work under the guidance of the supervisor:

2. Carefully read the literature closely related to the research themes.
3. Discuss their surveys and research.

Class format is on-site class in principle. Online class is available as an option.

国内研究機関の研究員（システム系）における勤務経験を活かし，システムデザインに関する指導を行う。
Guidance on system designing will be based on the instructor's experience working as a research scientist on system designing in a domestic research institute.
