Outcomes

The goal is for students to gain the necessary skills to become researchers by independently following a path from creating a research plan, to executing an experiment, analyzing and understanding data, and summarizing and presenting results (at a conference and in a paper) on the research topic of their doctoral theses. Based on an understanding of the research trends in their field of study, by proceeding with original research, and by submitting and presenting papers in English at international conferences, students will learn the international landscape and gain an understanding of what independent research is.

Preparation and review

Students must thoroughly understand the assigned research topic and independently understand the current situation in related fields to constantly compare the progress of their own research. Students should consider what makes their own research original, examine what they should be doing, and continue to create and be ingenious. Specifically, students will convert knowledge accumulated in the bachelor and master courses into wisdom, utilize research methods they acquired for the master thesis, and pursue their research through discussions with teaching staff.
Performance grading policy
