概要 Description
Students will devise cutting-edge research themes related to specialized research fields and discuss how to study them. Goals include
・Acquiring "expertise" as specified in the Diploma Policies of this Department.
・Acquiring the ability to "actively solve various problems in the specialized field" as specified in the Diploma Policies of this Department
目的 Objectives
Students will make a proposal for solving a research problem through discussion with supervisors and lab members and through literature research.
到達目標 Outcomes
By reading and understanding previous research from the physics literature, students will make a research plan to solve their research problem.

履修上の注意 Course notes prerequisites
Previous research can guide students in how to solve a research problem. However, students must always be aware that research concerns new questions which have not yet been answered. Therefore, students must think clearly, scientifically and critically about their research problem, and aim for deep understanding in order to progress.
