概要　Description

インターネットの普及に伴い、日本を含めてグローバル化が進行、メールやチャットによる英語でのコミュニケーションが必要になってきた。Reading 、Writing 共にスピードが要求されるのである。一方、従来の英語教育が行ってきたは精読、英作文も重要である。英語の学術論を読んだり、書いたりしなければならないからである。将来必要となるReadingとWritingの能力を育成する。

目的　Objectives

理学の専門家に必要とされる学術目的の英語の土台となるスキルを身につける。

到達目標　Outcomes

１　短時間のうちに大量の英文を読み、主旨を理解できるようになる。
２　なるべく辞書を用いずに英文を読むことができるようになる。
３　時間をかけて、正確に英文を読むことができるようになる。
４　オンライン辞書、文法を解説したウェブサイトなどを用いて英文を読むことができるようになる。
５　自分の意見を表明できる英文を書くことができるようになる。

履修上の注意　Course notes prerequisites

授業に関する連絡には、東京理科大学のプラットフォームであるLETUSを用いる。第一回目の授業には、必ず出席すること。なんらかの理由で出席できなかった者は、必ずメールで連絡すること。毎回小テストを、複数回Writingを行う。小テストを５回以上受験しなかった者、Writingを一度も提出しなかった者、TOEIC 1/2テストを受験しなかった者には単位を与えない。必ずTOEIC 1/2テストを受験すること。
